Klankvorm presents Lightforms
Lightforms is a new light art festival in Rotterdam with all newly commissioned live performances and light and sound artworks by national and international renowned artists. Lightforms is a new approach for Klankvorm to present projects at the intersection of light intervention and audio visual art in public space. The project consists of performances and a (mainly outdoors) light and sound art exhibition.

At V2_ the new large-scale kinetic video installation SVNSCRNS produced by Klankvorm will see its premiere. All the presented works revolve around optical phenomena, kinetic objects and site specific installations which will shed new light on the partaking locations of the project.
Lightforms is co-hosted by International Film Festival Rotterdam – IFFR, V2_ and Maritiem Museum Rotterdam.

The outdoor exhibition at Plein 1940/Leuvehaven is open daily from 18:00 – 22:00, during IFFR till the 2nd of February (except Nicky Assmann & Cocky Eek – “Sinking in-between” which is on view till 28-1).
The SVNSCRNS installation at V2_ is open daily from 11:00 – 18:00, during IFFR till the 2nd of February.
The opening of Lightforms consists of audiovisual performances and takes place on the 23rd of January at 19:00 at Leuvehaven/Plein 1940. The program continues 21:00 at V2_ for a special performance program on the new SVNSCRNS installation.
