Kinetic Sounds at de Doelen
On Thursday the 20th of April Klankvorm will present a special Kinetic Sounds event in collaboration with DoelenEnsemble and House of Makers at de Doelen Jurriaanse Zaal.
During this event the Kinetic Sounds installation, a custom built sound system that consists of a collection of rotating sound sources which together create immersive and dynamic fields of sound, will be presented for the second time in Rotterdam. The program will consist of a selection of live performances and sound compositions which are created for the Kinetic Sounds installation. These commissioned works will be combined with other spatial modern classic compositions that revolve around the topics of sound and movement.
Klankvorm and DoelenEnsemble will present work by the following artists; BJ Nilsen, Aftab Darvishi, Robert Pravda & DoelenEnsemble, Sascha Dragicevic, Anni Nöps, Peter-Jan Wagemans, Giulia Rae, Rene Uijlenhoet and Rotor. House of Makers, a Netherlands-based, interdisciplinary arts foundation specializing in performative work will complete the event with their unique view on dramaturgy and light.
